Chickies Rock Couples Session

When Destiny contacted me about a last-minute session to celebrate one year with her boyfriend Darren, I was super excited. I had done a mini session for her and a friend a few winters ago so I knew this would be a fun, adventurous one! We threw around several location ideas with all the same water, mountains, overlook idea, and finally settled on Chickies Rock.

I had never shot there before, but I am always up to try a new location! The overlook part of the park was actually pretty full as it was a Saturday. The amount of strategy that went into positioning myself and them to cover people, signs etc. was incredible. Bless their hearts for just laughing at all the awkward ways I had to stand and crouch. It’s part of the occupation! :)

It’s always amazing to me how accommodating most people are when I’m shooting a session. There was a family with children there who were so respectful of our space while still letting their children be children. Kind words and tone of voice go a long way in such situations. Always, always remember to thank those people.

They complement each other so, so well. Also, I’ve always LOVED red hair. Darren’s is a good, rich red- brownie points to you Darren!

So full of laughter and young love!

“Throw the leaves as high as you can and quick squeeze each other tight as they fall around you!”

Golden.

I love them, I love them, I love them.
